Well, I finally finished the book "The Sandalwood Fan".  If this is typical of exotic Gothics, then no thanks.  Perhaps it was only this book or only this author that was so poor.  Whatever the case, it gave me a distinct distaste for reading and learning more about Eastern cultures and Island superstitions - SO boring! Expect a scathing review when the book review section opens up.
