Hello everyone!

I just came across this lovely forum...and was so surprised to find others who still love the gothic romance genre as much as myself!

I also recently created a new blog where I post short reviews of books and other gothic romance related news.

I invite you all to visit me at:

http://gothicromancereviews.blogspot.com/

And I'd love to hear your opinions/views and commentary! Smile

Welcome! Your blog looks great! I encourage you to check out the many resources on this website for other ways to connect with lovers of classic gothic romance novels.
What a nice blog! I'm looking forward to looking through it and reading your reviews. Always nice to hear from fans of this genre!
Stacy Lynn, I wonder if you've seen or have considered reviewing for your blog "The Awakening," the British gothic ghost movie starring Rebecca Hall. I would be curious to see what you think of it.

i actually just watched this movie a few weeks ago.

in the past week or so i have been compiling a list of gothic-like movies for an upcoming blog post. I'd be happy to add this one to the list!

i'll probably be posting it later this week so check back! Smile

Great! Another one you might like is "Session 9," though it's only Gothic for the setting -- it was shot in the Danvers State Hospital after it was abandoned, and what a creepy place that was, a huge brooding mansion in the middle of the Massachusetts woods! The setting is almost a character in itself. There's no romance in the movie, though, but I imagine it would appeal to most Gothic fans for its locale and atmosphere.

i will have to look that one up...sounds very spooky!

i have decided to post the movie reviews as one of my 'halloween bash' posts...though i have planned two separate posts...one of gothic-type horror movies and another of haunted-children type movies.

i would love to hear your opinions, or if you know of any movies related to child ghosts/possessions/ hauntings...my list so far is only at about 8.

Ooh goody! Thank you for mentioning this movie. I saw it about a year ago and I've been trying ever since to remember the name! Loved it! Oh, and hello everyone! I just joined the forum today! :-)
