A number of deficits may contribute to drowsiness, including:
Iron Deficiency: The production of hemoglobin, which aids in the blood's oxygen transport, depends on iron. Fatigue and extreme drowsiness might result from a deficiency in iron.
Vitamin D Deficiency: Fatigue and sleep disorders, which result in daytime drowsiness, have been connected to low vitamin D levels.
Vitamin B12 Deficiency: Red blood cell formation and neurological function depend on this vitamin. Weakness, fatigue, and drowsiness may result from a deficit.
Magnesium Deficiency: Magnesium is involved in the regulation of sleep and muscular contraction. Daytime weariness and restlessness might result from a magnesium deficiency.
A prescription drug called Waklert 150mg (armodafinil) is often used to treat excessive drowsiness brought on by illnesses including narcolepsy, sleep apnea, or shift work sleep disorder. By altering brain chemicals that control the sleep-wake cycle, it encourages alertness. Waklert 150 should only be used as directed by a physician, however.
