Hi,
My film production company is currently developing a feature-length documentary about the living descendants of the historical Count Dracula - Prince Vlad Dracula, Voivode of Wallachia. "I Am Dracula" will be filmed primarily in Romania and will premiere in London, England, before being released on Videon on Demand and download.
We believe that there's an interesting story to tell about Dracula's bloodline. There are three families with a claim to the name, who may be the modern-day members of the Draculesti - the family established by Prince Vlad's father. One is an indirect line, another an unsubtantiated line, and the third is an non-genetic line that has a claim in name only.
Our job with the documentary is to work with genealogists and historians to assess the different claims to the name of Dracula, and then interview the living "relatives" to see what their connections mean to them. Our aim is to present the evidence clearly and let the audience decide whether any of them has a legitimate claim to the name.
We have turned to Kickstarter to raise the necessary production funds - £30k - and currently have 24 days to raise the money. I don't know whether this is the correct place to be promoting the campaign or whether it needs to go on another board. My apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place.
You can help us by donating to the campaign at:

Even if you can't donate, you can help us by sharing the link to the campaign with people who you think might be interested, and by following us, becoming a fan and liking our posts on the following sites:

We're also posting updates on the company blog at:

And if you're interested in literally following our journey, we've started a Pinterest board with pins of all the different places that we'll be visiting. You can find it here:

We're also interested in connected with any UK-based historians and genealogists out there who have an interest in the subject matter and who might be interested in appearing in the film.
