The dark of summer by Deanna Dwyer

I’m about 1/3 of a way through this and I’d agree, it’s a light, enjoyable read and well written. But I guess I was expecting a bit more of a gothic horror and it seems like Koontz was playing it safe with this one - I’m hoping the arrival of the sexy-but-grumpy fisherman, Jack Younger, will stir things up bit!
