The original art is for ACE 23060 (Fear Among The Shadows). This story has an original copyright date of 1969 and this edition was a 1st ACE printing for September 1974. There is no artist information on the copyright page. Note that the volume cover art is inverted with respect to the original art.

The cover has "No. 2 An ACE Gothic" prior to the title. On the frontspiece (and on the back cover for this volume is the following setup for this run of Gothic stories. This suggests a series of ACE Gothic stories chosen for reprinting in a numerical series. The first volume in this series is ACE 29725 (NANCY TAYLOR SMITH The Golden Fig, 1st ACE printing August 1974). I have a number of these, but never found a complete listing. I would appreciate knowing the complete series listing as well as any information on why ACE Books started this particular line. Lastly, for the original art, could you supply the dimensions, as well as the medium in which it is done. Thank you.

No I ca'nt help you with the series listing. The dimensions of the art is 9 x 11 inches. The medium used is acrylic.
